The Enhanced ARS for Needle Decompression features an improved needle tip design with a “scalpel-sharp,” bi-bevel, tapered tip that enhances penetration control through tissues of varying types and thicknesses. Its new fenestrated catheter design provides a statistically significant improvement in tension relief and helps prevent distal catheter occlusion compared to traditional non-fenestrated catheters. Three fenestrations, combined with the catheter tip, create four pathways for air to escape. The catheter is also centimeter-graduated to support safer placement through “thoracic depth control,” addressing ongoing evidence and clinical experience that emphasize the importance of controlled insertion during needle decompression. Additionally, the flexible catheter is engineered to reduce the likelihood of kinking.
