Veni-Gard®, with a transparent membrane, is a low-profile, breathable dressing with high moisture vapor and oxygen permeability. Because it is totally occlusive to microorganisms and fluids, yet permeable to air and moisture vapor, the dressing may generally be left in place for the entire length of the IV.
