The I.A.F.F. Rescue Randy 165lbs Large Body is a full-body firefighter training manikin designed for realistic rescue, drag, and extrication training. Developed with input from firefighters, Rescue Randy replicates the weight distribution and articulation of a real person, allowing trainees to practice carries, drags, and victim transport in the same conditions they will face on the job.

Built to withstand demanding training environments including smoke rooms, confined spaces, and high-heat scenarios, Rescue Randy prepares responders for the moments that matter most.

Features:

  • Fully articulated joints and anatomically distributed weight simulate the challenge of lifting and moving a real person who is limp and heavy.
  • Designed for firefighter rescue scenarios including collapsed structures, ladder rescues, confined spaces, and vehicle extrication.
  • Durable construction allows the manikin to be dragged, lifted, and transported in demanding training environments.
  • Developed with the International Association of Fire Fighters to support realistic firefighter carry and drag training.
  • Handmade construction ensures durability and consistent training performance.

Rescue Randy allows instructors to simulate the most common rescue and extrication situations faced by emergency responders, including:

  • Collapsed buildings
  • Smoke-filled training environments
  • Vehicle extrication
  • Confined space rescue
  • Mine and tunnel rescue
  • Ladder carry-down training
  • Mountain rescue stretcher transport

These scenarios allow trainees to practice safe handling, lifting techniques, and team coordination before responding to real emergencies.

Unlike rigid training dummies, Rescue Randy features fully articulated joints and anatomically balanced weight distribution, replicating how an unconscious person moves when lifted or dragged.

This creates a far more realistic training experience when practicing:

  • Firefighter carries
  • Victim drags
  • Stretcher transfers
  • Team lifts
  • Ladder rescues

Trainees experience the true physical challenges of victim rescue.
