Adult Intellisense defibrillation pads are stored preconnected to the AED in order to expedite the rescue process. The pads are non-polarized which allows for placement in either location on the chest. Using patented Rescue Ready® technology and embedded circuitry, Intellisense defibrillation pads communicate presence, functionality, patient type, energy and CPR protocol, pad expiration and other vital information directly to the Powerheart® G5.

Intellisense® pediatric defibrillation pads are recommended for patients 8 years of age or younger, or weighing less than 55 pounds (25kg). They are non-polarized, meaning they can be placed in either position on the chest, reducing confusion and saving time during a rescue. Pediatric pads may also be placed on the chest and back. Using the pad connector embedded circuitry, the Powerheart® G5 quickly and automatically detects the pediatric pad, and automatically adjusts to pediatric energy protocols and CPR requirements.

The Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 with iCPR Training Unit is specifically designed to resemble the Powerheart G5 AED in appearance and operation. Essential for providing effective, hands-on training and developing familiarity with the live device.

With the Powerheart G5 AED trainer, the instructor can:

• Select among three pre-programmed rescue scenarios
• Simulate shockable and non-shockable rescue situations
• Use the CPR Device to assess performance to 2010 Resuscitation Guidelines
• Train users to perform CPR compressions using a metronome
• Use a wireless remote control to vary the rescue conditions while students respond
• Pause the Trainer in mid-scenario to emphasize an important point, and then continue at the same point in the simulation
• Demonstrate automatic and semi-automatic AED operation
